Isocetane can be used as a softener and solvent in cosmetics to increase the texture of the product. It is insoluble in water and can form a barrier on the skin like paraffin to prevent water loss. At the same time, Isocetane is easy to be biodegradable, free of residue, fresh, stable, silky and smooth, and suitable for skin care and sunscreen products. Due to its multi branched chain structure, its spreading ability is significantly increased and its water retention is good. Its product has a fresher skin feeling than the product using paraffin oil, which greatly reduces the greasiness of cream and lotion products. It is especially suitable for water in oil system with extremely low chemical reactivity, so it has better stability and excellent compatibility.
